Frequently Asked Questions
The clip doesn't fit around the bar in the middle of the face mask. What should I do?
The different brands of catcher's masks have different designs for their face bars. This is ok. If you are doing blocking drills, you can put the clip on the thinnest part of the middle bar just directly below the eyes. This may be slightly off center, but it will still serve the same purpose. Feel free to move the clip around the face mask during different drills for what feels most comfortable.
When can I use Perfect-A-Block?
Perfect-A-Block can be used during most of the catching drills you already do for framing, blocking, throwing, and ball recovery.
Can the catcher wear this while catching bullpens?
Yes, Perfect-A-Block can be worn by catchers during bullpen sessions. There is enough give on the resistance tubing for the catcher to throw the ball back to the pitcher. However, use your best judgement and make sure your catcher is comfortable enough with the training tool to wear it during a bullpen session. It is recommended the catcher do positional drills a few times before using it in a bullpen session.
Are there multiple sizes of Perfect-A-Block?
No. We have used Perfect-A-Block on catchers, both baseball and softball, from ages 11 to 23 years old. The standard size we produce them at has been sufficient for those ages and body types.
