Why is there a different price for Indiana residences?
Due to federal law, businesses selling merchandise online only need to charge sales tax in states where that business has a physical location. For Perfect-A-Block, LLC, our corporate office, and only location, is located in Indiana. Therefore, we must add sales tax to each purchase that we send to an Indiana address.
Since tax is only charged in Indiana, does that mean I don't have to pay a sales tax if I live in a different state?
No! Living in a state other than Indiana does not mean that you do not have to pay sales taxes on your internet purchases. Due to laws and regulations for internet sales, it is only the business's responsibility to charge sales tax in states where that business has a physical location (i.e. Perfect-A-Block, LLC is in Indiana, so we charge sales tax on purchases made in Indiana). However, buyer's outside of Indiana, have the responsibility to pay a "Use Tax" on their taxes at the end of the year on all internet purchases made that were not already taxed.
